Over the last two weeks Emma Przygrodzka, our Artist in Residence, has run two successful workshops where participants made ceramic pots inspired by Anglo-Saxon pottery.
The dig also welcomed a home education group aged between 11 and 17 years, for a tour of the dig and archaeology-based activities. The group also made seed bombs – balls of clay mixed with compost and wildflower seeds. The seeds were kindly donated by Wild Cookham.
All our participants enjoyed their events with the children enthusiastic about archaeology and heritage as possible career paths.
