Over 1500 people came to a Friends of Cookham Abbey site tour during the 2023 dig season. Donations from visitors raised over £3,500. Feedback from visitors was overwhelmingly positive, and is helping FCA develop plans for engaging with new audiences and fundraising.
The volunteers were joined by University of Reading students from Monday 7th August for 4 weeks. We explored the industrial/craft-working zone and the burial area we found last year.
