We have had the privilege of welcoming over 170 school children and young people to visit the dig during the first week of the 2026 excavations.
The children experienced an exciting site tour, followed by sorting real artefacts from the dig itself and finishing with stories from the Cookham Chronicler in Holy Trinity Church.
Despite the heat, they told us they enjoyed ‘Everything!’ and felt inspired to become Archaeologists!
