One of the key discoveries on the site is a large domestic building made visible by the postholes which show the position of the wattle and daub walls.
The large number of postholes are evidence of several phases of rebuilding – after 20-30 years posts would rot and need to be replaced. Evidence that the building was used for domestic purposes include the presence of a hearth and the objects found in and around it, including clothing accessories such as pins, probably for securing veils and headdresses, and glass fragments from high status drinking vessels.
