Following a similar, very popular event in 2024, Prof. Gabor Thomas and Prof. Mary Lewis, from the Department of Archaeology at the University of Reading, will be giving a talk entitled “Voices from Early Medieval Cookham: New Archaeological Insights from the Cookham Dig” as part of this year’s Cookham Festival.
Gabor is Professor of Early Medieval Archaeology and leads the project, directing the dig each year, while Mary is Professor of Bioarchaeology and leads research on the Anglo-Saxon cemetery.
